The normal exegesis-goto for translators are the Bible society manuals. Many of them are available in french via the HBKFRA resource. But quite a few are missing as well : Matthew, Acts, 1 Cor, 2 Cor, ..... etc. I remember, in 2016, I asked for an advanced copy of Matthew and received that as pdf under a "do not distribute" agreement. That was a big help. 10 years later, the translation manuel for Matthew is still not included in the french helps, for which there are probably good reasons. It would be good to know if there are other missing resources available in pdf format? Can these be made available under the same "do not distribute" agreement? I am particularly interested in 2 Peter.
Much obliged,

Bart.

Of the NT Epistles, Romans, Ephesians, Philippians, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews, and 1 Peter are in the HBKFRA resource in Paratext.

2 Peter is in preparation.

Of the OT books, the one on Ecclesiastes is now also available. Just in case you do have a problem accessing the one on Ecclesiastes, you can write to my email address (*Emails are not allowed*) and ask for a PDF (as before, only for personal use).

Thank you very much, Lénart,

I think 2 Peter will be too late for us, which is not a problem in itself because we can translate relevant sections "on the fly" using DeepL. The quality of that is reasonable, although quotes from translations are, of course, never 100% accurate ....

Good luck with finishing this series of manuals. They are the guide for our work.
Blessings and regards, Bart
