Hello,

Thank you PT developers for all of your amazing work!

I am a linguist, translator facilitator, & translation consultant for five different languages. We release Scripture portions incrementally on a frequent basis, so I am frequently assisting the teams by running Basic Checks on their translation drafts.

I need to run all the checks on all the distribution-ready books, in all the languages, but when I run all the checks at once, I get something like this:

In order to fix all of these (22 is relatively few... often I see over a hundred) it really works much better to work on all of the same Check type at a time, and then go on to the next type. But these are sorted first by verse, not by Check type. So I end up selecting just one check type at a time:

But even with keyboard shortcuts, that's slow and tedious.

I would like to request that the Basic Checks be sortable by verse or by check type, and that check type be the default. That would really help us get through the Basic Checks a lot faster.

I know you are hard at work on PT 10 and that it's more probable that it would be implemented there, but in any case I just wanted to share the feedback.

Thanks so much!

Alex,

After the checks have run, you can go to the list window and click on the Menu > Sort by > Message.

This will order the list by the message rather than the verse.

Is that what you are looking for?

Hi Phil! I just tried it out. Yes, that's exactly what I needed! Thanks so much. The best possible resolution to a feature request is that the feature already exists! Thanks again.

Here are two print screens, in case anyone else finds them helpful:
