J’ai eu plusieurs problèmes dans le Registre avec des projets de traduction inversée (Back Translation) qui ne sont pas configurés comme un type de projet BT basé sur la traduction mère, c’est-à-dire qu’ils ont une inscription séparée. Dans certains cas, ces projets sont signalés comme problématiques par l’UBS (Sharon P) car il est indiqué qu’il s’agit (par exemple) de la première traduction en anglais ou en français. (Désolé, ce créneau est déjà pris…

Quelle est la meilleure pratique pour la configuration des traductions inversées ? Je suppose qu’une traduction inversée fille de la traduction est la meilleure disposition si vous commencez de zéro. Une traduction inversée existante avec une inscription indépendante peut-elle être convertie à ce statut ? Si oui, comment ? Si non (ou si ce n’est pas facile), serait-il préférable de changer l’inscription en projet Test/Formation, afin de ne pas fausser les statistiques ?
Aussi, il semble que beaucoup de projets de traduction inversée configurent la langue du projet comme étant la langue vernaculaire de la traduction mère. Vous devriez utiliser la langue réelle de la traduction inversée, n’est-ce pas ? Donc le français ou l’anglais dans la plupart de nos contextes. Je suppose qu’il serait bon de corriger cela dans le projet (ce qui devrait alors apparaître dans le registre, n’est-ce pas ?), afin que ce soit exact ? Et ensuite, s’il est en anglais ou en français, nous devons nous assurer qu’il s’agit soit d’un projet fille, soit, s’il a sa propre inscription, qu’il s’agit d’un projet Test/Formation, ou qu’il est marqué comme Nouveau, et non comme Premier.

I’ve had several issues in the Registry with Back Translation projects that are not set up as a BT project type based on the mother translation, i.e. they have a separate registration. In some cases these are flagged as problematic by UBS (Sharon P) because it says it is (for example) the First translation into English or French. (Sorry that spot is already taken… )
What is best practice for Back Translation configuration? I assume a BT daughter to the translation is the best arrangement, if you are starting from scratch. Can a currently existing BT with an independent registration be converted to that status? If so, how? If not (or it isn’t easy), would it be best to change the registration to a Test/Training project, so that it doesn’t mess up statistics?
Also, it seems like a lot of Back Translation projects set up the language of the project to be the vernacular language of the mother translation. You should use the actual language of the BT, correct? So French or English in most of our contexts. I assume it would be good to correct that in the project (which should then show up in the registry, correct?), so that it is accurate? And then if it is English or French, we need to make sure that it is either a daughter project, or if it has its own registration, that it is a Test/Training, or is marked as New, not First.
