I have noticed that the LDS file that comes with Spanish resources is not correct. It specifies the uppercase for two digraphs: “Ch” and “LL”. The help and the guide indicate that the uppercase of multi-graphs should not be specified. In fact the language settings for the Spanish resources does give errors because of improperly defined capitalization. (The “LL” has an additional error in that the orthography does not allow for two capitals together in normal text.

Additionally the Spanish LDS has the apostrophe (000A) as an alphabetic character and I can find no instance of this in any of the Spanish resources that I looked at. I believe this character should be removed from the Spanish LDS.

You are correct that the default lds for Spanish has some issues. This is an issue that has been addressed with many of the older resources. They were created when you could still list upper case digraphs. With the current version of Paratext you are not allowed to have upper case digraphs. As for the apostrophe (0027) these sometimes creep in.

This points out a reason why teams should not use lds from other projects in their own projects. If you create a new language description and then copy the characters from Spanish you will get a error that you can clean up.
