I have a question about 2 projects (Bukawa and Laugui).

My question relates to the Interlinearizer. Here are the adaptations/glosses using the Interlinearizer:

·
Bukawa to Laugui (used for adaptation)

·
Laugui to English

Neither Project is normalized, but Laugui needs to be normalized for spell checking purposes. I plan to convert to composed characters.

Bukawa has a mix of composed and decomposed characters, each representing the same underlying character. For example: á (U_00E1) and a + ´ (U_0061 + U_00B4).

If I normalize the Laugui project without normalizing the Bukawa project, will the glossing that is already done from Bukawa to Laugui be broken? Do I also need to normalize the Bukawa project?

Thank you,

This sounds like an important question. I wish I could answer it!

I wonder if you could make a copy of each of the two projects and then experiment with how changing the normalization affects the glossing. I expect that others will be interested in what you find.
