I'm doing this. Our glossary looks roughly like this:

etc.
This means that if you put a note in the glossary, paratext doesn't duplicate the entire glossary into the note. (maybe that bug has been fixed, I don't know), (optionally) gives glossary headings, and so on.
(Note that the O~ is because names in the language need an article before them, much like Koine Greek. Paratext unhelpfully adds a space after the tilde, but if there's a tilde, it doesn't split it off as if it were part of the preceding definition when it decides to sort the glossary. Spaces after tildes are easy to fix in the changes file.
