A team has been marking spelling in their project for a long time, but when external consultants look closely at key terms in the Biblical terms tool they see different spellings for the same words. Anyone have suggestions on how to correct all of these errors?  My first thought was to go into the Wordlist tool and reset the spelling status to all the words to "unknown", but this would mean a lot of work.  Besides most words marked as "correct" in the Wordlist tool are correct.

If the majority of the words which are spelled multiple ways are words in the key terms list, then I would start by using that tool rather than just starting over with the spelling tool.

Here's the kind of workflow I'd do:

  1. Look at the Biblical Terms tool (not Rendering tool) and make sure that only the 1 accepted spelling is in the rendering area.
  2. Look for 'missing' terms verse-by-verse below. When the verse is marked as not completed because of a spelling problem, copy the word out of that verse.
  3. Move to the Wordlist tool, paste to search for the incorrect spelling, and mark it incorrect.
  4. Replace all incorrect occurrences (this will reduce the number of missing verses in #2).
  5. Repeat
