Warning not to edit deprecated verson of migrated project

After a project is migrated to PT8, will there be a warning to users who still have edit rights to it in PT7, ... a best practice written up somewhere that helps avoid this issue?

Advice to lock migrated PT7 project is unsafe

We've always told users to uncheck the Editing Enabled property of a migrated project in PT7, do a S/R, have ... would be to demote everyone else on the PT7 project to observer?
