A user reported installing Paratext 8 and Paratext 9 on a brand new Windows 10 machine. Paratext 9 is but they get the following error message (an item with the same key has already been added) when starting Paratext 8. Any idea how to fix the problem?

Thanks,

I think I reported this same bug to the Paratext developers last week.

In my case, it was caused by downloading an enhanced resource in Paratext 9.

I fixed it by deleting the newest ldml file in C:\ProgramData\SIL\WritingSystemRepository\3.

At next launch, Paratext recreated the ldml file which I’d deleted and everything worked OK afterwards.

This is a known issue, but we’re still trying to track down exactly what is causing it. If any of you know what resource, project, or steps caused the problem, please let us know.
