Is there any way to use non-Latin numbers (0,1,2,…9) in cross references and still pass a cross reference check? In particular I’m asking about ‘Eastern’ Arabic numbers (۱،۲،۔۔۔،۹).
For example, instead of MAT 1:2-3: متی ۱:۲-۳
Non-Latin numbers should work. We have internal tests for a Persian script which works fine (خرو ۲۰:۴ و ۵ = EXO 20:4,5).
What is the error you are getting for the example you posted?
We use Devanagari numbers in cross-references all the time, and the checks pass, so perhaps it’s specific to Arabic script. I don’t have a RTL project to try it out on, but it certainly works with LTR Inidc scripts.
