I cannot get the following Nepali or Hindi word rendered correctly in PT8. PT7 had no problem. I have given the sequence of typing below that produces the word. It renders here correctly. If you type or copy and paste महत्त्व to PT8 text window, you will see it does not render correctly. No problem with Word and Notepad.

महत्त्व ‍ ( म ह त ् त ् व )

I tried copying the text and pasting into a new project using the Charis SIL font and it worked fine for me:

Are your language settings set correctly (especially the font)? Could you post a screenshot of the problem?

We use Annapurna SIL Nepal font. It is the standard font that we use for
our publication. We published several NT with this font. We never had any
problem with Annapurna SIL Nepal font in Paratext 7. Yea, it is an issue
with Annapurna SIL Nepal font in PT8. I will see there might be an update
of Annapurna SIL font.

The updated Annapurna SIL Nepal 1.202 still has the same problem with PT8.
Whom shall I contact for the font issue?

Annapurna SIL displays this combined in inside of Word 2016 but not
LibreOffice Version: 5.4.2.2 (x64) or in PT7.5 and PT8. Charis SIL does
display combined in all.

Thanks! I have sent the request to the annapurna support site you referred to.

Annapurna SIL Nepal contains both OpenType and Graphite rendering. Word and Notepad use OpenType. PT8 and LibreOffice use Graphite. In PT7 you could turn off the Graphite renderer but in PT8 you don’t have that option. This looks like a bug in the Graphite rules built into the font. I’ll pass it on to the appropriate person.
