Is there any way to run checks (both spelling and also basic checks like punctuation) and only get text in normal Scripture? Specifically, ignoring introductions and footnotes.

In the past I've had some success setting certain markers in the stylesheet as nonvernacular or nonpublishable, and doing that would make the checking tools ignore them. But doing that doesn't seem to work for either the "f" marker or for the "ft" marker. Any other ideas?

There is currently no way to run checks on just the verse text of a project. The only place you can distinguish Verse Text Only is in the Find dialog(s).

One option would be to create a duplicate project and delete all the non-verse text. This would be a little (quite) cumbersome, but would allow you to do what you want.

Currently, as Phil said, this is not possible, but it is functionality that we are currently working on so it should be possible to do this sometime in the near future.

Thank you for letting me know it's in the works. I look forward to testing it out!
