I received this question from a user:

“Do you know of any interlinears (Greek and Hebrew) in languages other than English (such as Spanish and Portuguese). Waiapi is a dynamic word order language so we really need access to original languages since word order changes carry meaning.”

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Logos and e-Sword also have great resources, but I have only been able to find reverse-interlinears for Hebrew.

In Logos, these two resources combine to form a reverse interlinear:

In e-Sword I use a Bible called “Reina Valera 1960 interlineal inversa con números Strong” (iRV1960+). Unfortunately, this is also reverse-interlinear. It’s free, but the compact formatting makes it hard to read. (I’m sorry, I couldn’t find a download link for that e-Sword resource.)

A good free non-reverse interlinear is at BibleHub, but it’s only available in English:
http://biblehub.com/interlinear/genesis/1.htm

The other day it looked like BlueLetterBible.com is adding a non-reverse interlinear for Hebrew, but the verse I looked at was missing a lot of data. Also, English-only.

If anyone knows of a Paratext, Logos, or e-Sword non-reverse Spanish interlinear for Hebrew, please comment!

There is www.logosklogos.com which is not perfect and internet dependent, but it is something of a digital Hebrew Spanish Interlinear.

The only ones that are distributed as resources are French and Chinese. Basically, you have to turn on “Additional glosses” with the Greek text and then select the project “Glosses French” or the Chinese one. These are found by searching downloadable resources for “gloss”.

This solution is a bit of a hack, and I expect that there may even be a Spanish gloss resource out there somewhere that has not been added as an official resource. Does anyone have access to such a resource?

There is a NT resource called “EspGr” that is available from the DBL. I don’t know of any existing resource for the OT.

Thank you @anon848905, that is an excellent start!

While they are not complete, there are Spanish and Portuguese Enhanced resources that have glosses for most of the key words. The other option is to pay for Spanish interlinears in Logos.

The Brazilian Bible Society published a Greek-Portuguese Interlinear NT (available in 4 volumes in print from their online store):

I don’t believe this work is available in Logos at the present time.

When you open PT’s Heb/Grk and open its menu, you can turn on “Additional Glosses,” choose a version–a PT resource like RVR95, or a project you have on your computer (In my case the spNVI15 (Spanish NVI 2015)).

To be honest, this doesn’t really work at all with a resource that wasn’t made for this purpose. The words will fill in in the word slots in Spanish order, not in Greek word order, and definitely not in Hebrew word order.

Matthew 1:1 translit with RVR Spanish below:
Biblios geneseōs Iēsou Christou huiou Dauid huiou… … …Abraam.
Esta …es… … … la … …lista … de… los …anetpasados…de

BUT when you do as anon848905 has suggested and instead choose Additional Glosses, EspGr, it is much better:

Matthew 1:1 translit with EspGr Spanish below:
Biblios…geneseōs… … … Iēsou.Christou…huiou.Dauid…huiou…Abraam.
Libro…de-(la)-genealogía de-Jesús Cristo,… hijo de-David, hijo…de-Abraham.

E-Sword does not seem to have a Spanish version of Strongs, so that dead-ends the Spanish reader of the iRV1960+. Am I missing something?

Welcome anon676922 to the Paratext Support site!

I have a dictionary called Multiléxico that gives a basic Spanish definition, searchable by the Strong’s Number. The file I have is called Multilexico_Strong_Chavez_Tuggy_Vine_Swanson_20090714.exe. I looked for it online but couldn’t find the download on a site that looked reputable. I’m also not clear on what the licensing status is.

If you are an SIL member or if your organization is part of the Wycliffe Global Alliance you may have or be able to request access to this copy:

I hope this helps.

Circling back to the OP, I just found this resource:

Hard to read, but functional. Only $2!

This is the first volume of a set that is a real beauty, but it is hard-copy only:
