Is there a way in Paratext to check the gospels in a harmony of the gospel form? This might not be the best way doing it, but right now I’m working in Paratext 8 and have Paratext 9.1 and Paratext 7 open at the same text in other gospels. Getting as close as possible to do a harmony of the gospel check, or translating in one gospel and see how it is translated in another gospel. But this way the Paratext 9.1 closes unexpectedly now and again. Thanks for your help. anon049395

Paratext 9.1 often closes unexpectedly for an unknown reason, but it is apparently not related to having Paratext 8 or 7 open.

Is the Parallel Passages tool not sufficient for looking at the gospels together? It was improved in Paratext 9 compared to version 8.

Thanks Iver+Larsen. Good idea. I didn’t know of this feature yet. Thanks again.

If the Parallel Passages tool does not do what you’d like, you can Open… a second and third window for your current project and set each to a different Scroll Group so that you have one windows in MAT, the second in MRK, and the third in LUK.

Thanks LivingField. That’s what I did with the different versions from Paratext 7, 8 en 9.1. I would hate to do it with Paratext 9.1 because of the rate it closes suddenly by itself. I’m not sure if I could open more windows in Paratext 8. Maybe try that. Thanks for your help.

It is a shame that Paratext 9 is giving you problems. The parallel passages tool in both PT8 and 9 has a synoptic filter. See screen shot. Using scroll groups can be better when large amounts of editing are needed. I use that approach when working on genealogies that appear in more than one book.

Thanks anon044949. Helpful! Have a nice day. Jan
