I’ve wondered if we ought to write something about shared projects and backup software. Users may be using a general backup tool to backup all their files, or perhaps it has been recommended to them by general IT advisors.

I’ve attempted a write up how send/receive is an adequate backup tool for shared project data, and that in the event of a computer disaster users should use send/receive to get a new copy of shared projects rather than restoring files with another tool. Here is my writeup (still in draft)

I’d appreciate any comments.
