MSEAIT/LT,
Are you saying that each cross reference would begin with something like:
See Luke 2:1 and then followed by the actual cross references in the \xt fields? From a publishing standpoint this seems rather excessive since you would end up with the words on every cross reference.
See Luke 2:1 Matthew 4:5; Mark 2:6
or are they wanting something like:
2:1 See Matthew 4:5; Mark 2:6
This is a more normal pattern and is handled by adding the word “See” in the section on " Extra Material" in the Scripture Reference Settings. Note that you can add various options here by using the | character.
As best I can tell, the Scripture Reference settings don’t normally expect (allow) a book name in the \xo field. However you can have Extra material. So in theory you could have "See Luke " in the Extra material so that it would pass the check, but as said, it is not normal to use the book name in the \xo.
For the \mr you could likewise add “From” to the extra material and in the case of the word “to” you could add this as a divider between books or chapters. So your Scripture reference settings might look like the following:
List of books ; | to
Extra material See |From
Note that spaces are important so I have a space after "See " , but no space before "From ". The “to” would have spaces on either side, depending on your need.
