Interlinearizer vs. Adapt It

Question

We need to do two dialect adaptations for our project. There will be a minor change in vocabulary but fair change in the orthography. The question we are debating is whether to use the interlinearizer in PT or rather do it with Adapt It and use the built-in collaboration feature with PT?

Has anyone ever compared the two programs for doing adaptations? Or does somebody know where we might find a discussion with pros and cons about this?

Depending on how consistent the changes are I would make the first pass with the “Transliteration using SIL Converters” project type. You can use a cc table or tec map to convert the orthography and major vocabulary.

Someone else will have to speak to the significant differences between Interlinear and Adapt-it. Both tools can use the Paratext files and produce output for Paratext so in some ways it would be a matter of preference and whether or not you want to learn a new tool.

I found the AdaptIt dev team extremely sharp and responsive. They helped me build a custom solution for a similar scenario and to work out the kinks.
