Around 9/9/15 when starting PT 7.6.53.21, the interlinearizer window failed to open and gave the following message. “The model text language ID is not valid for the associated lexical project.” (See pic below.) This continues to reoccur after PT and OS restarts.

I have been using this version for quite some time so this is a new occurrence. The vernacular project is SUR and the model NIV84. I might understand this message if some setting in the ‘text to interlinearize’ changed. But this says the model text has changed. I’m pretty sure that the NIV84 could not have changed. I have not updated any of the resources in probably a year. I can interlinearize with a different model (e.g. NET) but all the populated glosses are red. (I was thinking that PT would to use the same glosses since both models are English.)

I am beginning to wonder if there is a case issue in the new code related to the language being set to English but the interlinearizer folder being named Interlinearizer_ENGLISH. Any model text displaying ENGLISH in the language settings gives the same error as the NIV. Andy model text displaying some other language (e.g. English-NET) works fine.

This problem does not occur in PT 7.5.100.66. I tried making a change in the interlinearizer in 7.5 and then tried to open it again in 7.6 but I get the same error. I also tried doing a S/R from each version to see if that would overwrite some errant file. But that did not change any of the symptoms above.

Perhaps, I can start a conspiracy theory about Paratext, continuous publication, copyright wars, and governmental spying.

In the meantime, any suggestions? I would like to continue using the NIV for this project’s interlinearization, but I can’t for now.

Milt_Jones, the current 7.6 beta is 7.6.54.x (.7 as of today). I don’t have any problem with the interlinear and NIV84. Try updating. You will need to run the full installer found under the Beta tab of Downloads.

Ok, 7.6.54.2 doesn’t exhibit these problems anymore.
Thanks.
