I have created a Transliteration (using Encoder….) project based upon a Back Translation.

When I configure it for S/R it does not prompt me to S/R, and it does not show up in the S/R list.

I tested this on .33 and .35 versions.

listentwice,

Is the base project (the one the transliteration is based on) a registered
project? Since the transliteration gets its registration from the base
project, you will only see the project in S/R to the Internet if the base
project is registered.

Yes the base project is registered.

The transliteration is based on the Back Translation of the base translation.

listentwice - you are correct that the transliteration based on the back translation does not show up in the S/R to Internet list. If this is a valid scenario (and not something you are just testing the transliteration with) please use the Help > Report a problem to submit this to the developers.

The transliteration based on the standard transliteration should S/R correctly, but it may be that basing off the back translation puts it one level too far away from the registered project.

It is a valid scenario, I submitted a bug report.

Thanks

Is there any way to get an update on this issue? It would really be helpful if this were fixed.

The issue is in the “to do” list for maintenance issues (we divide work between new features we are working on and maintenance). Currently most of the team if focused on a main new feature for Paratext 8.1.

Once we get that feature to an initial release quality, more time will be spent on the maintenance backlog.
