We are seeing a strange issue in a Ukrainian project in Paratext 9.5. Instead of the standard English USFM markers (e.g., \f, \fr, \ft, \xt, \tl), some markers appear to be displayed using Cyrillic characters.

The underlying USFM text appears to be correct, but the markers are not being displayed as expected. A screenshot is attached for reference.

Could you please advise what might be causing this behaviour and how it can be corrected?

I believe these are the cursive versions of Russian Cyrilic. It looks like it's used when the styles are italic in usfm.sty that defines the styles used for the markers.

Is this the ukrNPUv1 project ( the project name is fuzzy in the images)?

I just downloaded a copy from the server and I do not see these markers with Cyrillic characters.
I would try  to reset Paratext. Hold Shift when you start the program and click "Yes" to "do you wish to reset all of your Paratext settings?" This resets a number of user settings and has cleared up mysterious behavior by Paratext before. The reset will not affect any project data.
If that does not solve the problem, submit a problem report in "Give feedback" in the help menu. Indicate the project with the problem, and we can investigate it further.
