I have a question regarding the Wordlist. We have a translation team that has made significant changes to how they are spelling words, and they would like to 'scrap' their Paratext Wordlist and start over.
Is this as simple as deleting or removing the SpellingStatus.xml from their project folder, or is there another recommended way of doing this?
Thank you

If they haven't done any morphology or interlinearization, then deleting the SpellingStatus.xml file should be sufficient.

If they have done morphology as well, then they will probably also have to delete the Lexicon.xml and WordAnalyses.xml files. Note that this will invalidate any interlinear data as well, so any Interlinear_{lang} folders will also have to be deleted.

And, of course, they should at least mark a point in project history before they do this. Maybe even create a separate backup to be safe.wink

This assumes they are not using FLEx for morphology or word analysis.
Thank you, that makes sense.
Maybe a quick trial would be in order:

1. create new project in Paratext

2. Import books from existing project

3. Open wordlist.  Is this really better than the wordlist they have in the existing project?
The new project would have no project notes or any Biblical term renderings, or project history or progress, so it probably would not make sense to abandon the old project and work just in the new project, but this could  give them an idea what deleting the existing wordlist would actually do.
