A team I work with has denied a couple of Punctuation errors in the book of Acts. These now appear struck through in the results list when Basic checks are run, which is what they want. However, it seems like those denied errors are still reported and issues in the Assignments and Progress tool. This is a problem because if they appear as issues there (and the checks are required not optional) it becomes impossible to mark the book as completed. Is tere a way to make the Assignments and Progress recognise that the errors have been denied and that the stage (and ultimately the book) is completed?

There's actually a further discrepency here in that Assignments and Progress is showing a total of 6 punctuation issues and the Basic checks only 5 and while one of the denied errors is in chapter 15, Assignments and Progress shows no issues for that chapter. So perhaps the problem is different from what I describe above but I certainly need help, please, getting the results from Basic checks (acknowledging denied errors) and issues appearing in Assignments and Progress to match up.

Denied errors are considered to have been handled. You can hide these if you want by going to the list menu and toggling denied messages under the view menu.

Looking at your screenshots, the A&P says you have 2 errors in chapters 1-12. Those two show up in the list. You also have 1 in chapters 13, 16-23. That one also shows up in the list. The denied messages are not reported on the A&P.

Thank you. But why is A&P showing 6 issues when Basic checks only show three (excluding the denied ones)? The team need to be able to find all the issues that A&P is reporting.
That is a really good question! The only thing I can guess is that with the Basic Checks were run they were only run on chapters 1-23. Can you verify that the checks were run on the entire book?
When you want to see the three errors that are in chapters 24-28 you can click the blue 3 and those errors should open up.
No, I ran the Basic checks myself and definitely on the whole book. The particuar problem on punctuation has now gone away - either because the translators have been working or the false reporting (if that's what it was) has righted itself.
Yes, in theory you can click the link and find the problems but instead the results window said "no errors found"!  As mentioned in my reply to your previous response, the punctuation issues are now resolved but a similar thing is still happening with Footnote Quotes. [I don't know how to paste a screenshot in this reply] A&P is showing one issue for Footnote Quotes. I click the link and the results window says "No errors found". On this occasion, when I run Basic checks it does indeed find the error, so in the sense that the error can be found and corrected this is less of a problem, but it is troubling that it's not found from the link in A&P.
I've another issue with discrepencies between different window ithin A&P but I'll start a separate thread for that.
I can't say for sure what is happening, but I know that PT9.4 is not aways refreshing like I would expect. Sometimes closing and reopening Paratext can clear the issue. Sometimes a Paratext reset can clear strange behavior. https://paratext.org/ufaqs/how-do-i-reset-paratext/?highlight=reset
If you continue to have this type of issue, you can use Help > Give Feedback to report the issue. This will allow the development team more access to the data to see what is happening.
