I have set up many projects using a project plan. However, I have one project that when I open Assignments and Progress the choice of current priority does not appear even though I have set priorities

I am about to teach a workshop involving 9 projects and this is the only project that does not show this option. What could be blocking this feature?

The only thing different in this project from the others that I can tell is that this project has many empty books that have not been started

CrazyRocky - In your other projects, do the Priorities appear in the Scope selection dropdown? If so, are they there by default, or are they there because someone created Saved selections (as seen in the top left of sewhite’s screenshot, above)?

I can’t honestly remember if we added a default way to see Priorities in that dropdown. I don’t think we did. After all, we don’t list all the books in a project, that also requires going into the Choose dialog.

The issue is really that Assignments and Progress is not working as intended. When the user chooses My Tasks the tasks are not sorted by the project priorities. The tasks are simply sorted by book order as if Priorities had not been set up.

We used to have "Current priorities" as the first option in the list (above Current book).
I have reproduced the problem on some newer projects. I am using 9.4.101.10.

This is a long shot, but have you selected the scope for the project? You can do this under Project Properties>Books. This defines which books are tracked by project progress, so perhaps that could affect whether you are able to see your priorities…?

CrazyRocky, I am unable to reproduce this problem. Tell me, are the “NT” and “OT” in your screenshot filters or priorities?

They are Filters. Priorities simply do not show up. The scope is set up as the full
Bible GEN-REV.

CrazyRocky, if you haven’t already done so, please report this issue through Report a problem in Paratext.

I have done so. . .

I can see the priorities in that project. If you click Choose in the Current Book dropdown (like in your screenshot) then go to the priorities tab, these are the ones I see that can be selected.

There are priorities set up but they do not appear at in the dropdown in Assignments and Progress or in the My tasks view

I have the same happening in a relatively new project I made about a year or so ago. A colleague has tested a bit and thinks it is a problem for ALL new projects. She has reported it.

I reported it to Paratext. Their reply is that an uncompleted task has to be assigned to a user for it to be considered a current priority. Otherwise, by design, it doesn't appear.
