Sorry I was not clear -- PA does not have a thumb index feature right now. You would need to add thumb indexes in another process in InDesign (adding tabs to parent pages at different locations over the documents in your job etc.).

The request for thumb tabs as an automated process by PA has been added to the feature request list for the PA project.
