Can I search for a word in the translated text, and then do an automated “Replace all” of a word in the back translation that matches the word that was found in those verses where that word was found in the translated text?

I don’t think so.

What you can probably do is create a list of places which you would then run through and manually make the replacement.

You could search for the word in your main project, creating a list of results in PT. You could then search for the translated word in the back translation, but making sure under the “More” section of the find dialogue to choose “List Operations: Shared with list”. This would give you the overlap where the word is in the vernacular and the translated word is in the bt. You’d then need to go through the list manually replacing translated word with replacement word.

Depending on exactly what your goal is, the other list operations (Add to, or Remove from) might also help you narrow down your search.
