I followed the instructions below on my computer. Scrolling seems to synchronize sometimes and other times not. This is in windows/resources that DO scroll together sometimes (between Paratext 7.5 and Logos), but do NOT scroll together other times. They are all in the A Window Group. I cannot figure out why it would work one minute, but then the next not. Is it a “focus” issue (e.g., Logos is “on top”)?

It seems to always sync from Paratext to Logos, but often not from Logos to Paratext. Sometimes it WILL sync from Logos to Paratext, but usually it doesn’t.

Thanks,

P.S. Here are the instructions I followed:

-Open PowerShell (installed by default on Windows computers).
-Type Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted
-Press ENTER
-Press Y and then ENTER to confirm

-Copy RegisterSmartTags.ps1 to a folder on your computer (I used the “new” version of this for Logos 6.7 or higher).
-Right-click on the ps1 file.
-Click “Run with PowerShell”.

You should get a message saying that smart tags were
successfully registered. (This message appeared)

-Go back to PowerShell
-Type Set-ExecutionPolicy Restricted
-Press ENTER
-Press Y and then ENTER to confirm

If you haven’t already done so, you need to run “cmd” and navigate to
your Logos program folder. On my machine it’s located here:
C:\Users{UserName}\AppData\Local\Logos\6.5.0.0027. If you’re using a
different version of Logos the numbers will be different (e.g., C:\Users\lr-SIL+LSS+PNG\AppData\Local\Logos)

At the cmd prompt type, Logos.exe /register

You should get a message that logos.exe successfully registered. (This message appeared)

CD C:\Users{UserName}\AppData\Local\Logos\System

In the cmd prompt type LogosCom.exe / register

Again, a similar successful register message should appear: This message did NOT appear.

-Open Paratext.
-Make sure Tools > Scroll Scripture with any compatible applications is TICKED.
-Make sure any windows you want to scroll together are in the same Window group (e.g., A, B, C) in Paratext AND Logos.

Just to be sure, please check that your scroll groups in Paratext (A, B, C, …) correspond to the Link Sets in Logos. When I run Logos, and have a Scripture resource displayed, click on the resource icon at the top left of the resource window. This should display a drop down menu. The second or third item down is "Link Set: A, B, C, …None. By default None is selected. To get synced scrolling to work, the link set must match the Paratext scroll group.

If you have done this and it still does not work, you may want to consider upgrading to a more recent version of Paratext - like 7.6 or 8.
