Greetings

A friend has just installed the latest version of ParaTExt 8.0. He finds Translators Workplace 5.11 on his Windows 7 64-bit computer is not scrolling with ParaTExt as it did for 7.5. Any suggestion?

I have Tools > Scroll Scripture with any compatible applications checked in Paratext. And the two buttons at the top of TW Folio Views version pressed. Still they do not scroll together. I still have to manually repress the “Receive Scripture References” in order for TW to scroll. PT 8 will scroll with TW but not the reverse. Seems to be a problem in PT8 sending to TW. TW does scroll with PT7.5.

If you are running Windows 10, make sure that Compatibility mode is unchecked if you right-click on your TW Desktop icon, click Properties and then the Compatibility tab.

Problem fixed. Thanks.

I am having a similar problem, but it was not resolved by unchecking compatibility mode.

I am running PT on Windows 10 64 bit. PT8 scrolls with TW, BART, and PT7.5, but none of these scroll with PT8. If I turn off scrolling in TW and then turn it back on again it will sync with wherever PT8 happens to be. But this is of course not much easier than navigating to the verse manually.

Thanks for any further suggestions.

Do you also have the 3rd icon checked, the “Immediately scroll to Scripture ref message”?

Yes. TW scrolls automatically when the verse is changed in PT7, but not when it is changed in PT8.

Does he have Tools > Scroll Scripture with any compatible applications checked in Paratext?

Also there are two buttons at the top of TW Folio Views version that have to be pressed. They are the “Receive Scripture References” and the “Immediately scroll to the Scripture Reference” buttons
