Copy cross references to BT

Question

Is there a way to copy cross references from a translated book to its back translation (BT)? I know there’s a way to do this globally (extract > copy, etc.), but the warning in the Help topic seems to indicate there’s no way to do this on a book-by-book basis, to wit: “Do not insert cross references from a model text until your project contains all the books, chapters, and verses you plan to translate (even if they are currently empty).” I’d love to be proven wrong on this!

Certainly the retired (but can be reinstated) “Insert cross references or notes” script allows you to choose a particular book or books to insert references into.

But my guess is that if you used the new “Insert cross-references” function (which is said to be going to work in the PT 9.1 upgrade) then you could check the delete all existing cross-references option to obviate continual doubling up of the references every time you ran the script.

Maybe someone knows why that wouldn’t work or shouldn’t be done?
