PT Lite seems to run very slowly on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Whenever I open it, it takes about a minute to show then Bible text in the current window. If I want to select a different verse, the verse selector is also slow.

Do others have a similar experience?

I also have a Samsung Galaxy S7 and have noticed surprising slowness. I just updated the app, and noticed that loading a new chapter is still slow when I am looking at a project. With two national language translations, the vernacular translation, and it’s back translation open, I selected a different passage. I counted a total of about 5 seconds of delay in waiting for menus and content to appear. As soon as I closed active projects and looked just at resources, all slowness went away.

Today I can’t even get the verse choose to work: other places I can tap do work, but the verse chooser itself, and the arrows either side are unresponsive. So I can’t get to the verse I want to read!

None of the developers have responded to this. PT Lite is so slow as to be virtually unusable to me. The other day I tried to open it during a Bible study to quote a new translation that is consultant checked but not yet published. It took ten minutes for me to get the verse to show, by which time the discussion had moved on.

Any reports from people who find it does work at a useable speed on their mobile devices? and specifically on phones?

Sorry to hear that you found the application slow. There have been several performance issues that have been addressed since the time you reported. Have you tried PTLite recently? How do you find its responsiveness now?
