Resources still show update available after updating

In Download/install resources, resources which have been recently updated (downloaded and installed) via this tool still show as update available. Has anyone else experienced this? Hard to know whether an update is actually available given that the flag doesn’t go away after “updating.”

Yes, this is a known issue. It’s caused by a mismatch between the language code in the DBL metadata and the language code defined in the DBL project data. Fixing it is on our (long) to-do list.

EDIT: Just to make sure it’s the same problem, can you tell us the short name of the resources with the problem?

Happening for me with the following resources:

  1. enggnv
  2. engojps
  3. HBKENG
  4. LSG
  5. NBS
  6. mfiNT

deuelo
DRC1752
enggnv
engojps
ESVUS11
HBKENG
KJV54
skb

It also seems to occur for any new resources I install.

I am seeing this also.
NIVUK11, NIV11, HBKENG, NASB, ESVUK, hinriv, RSV, KJV, DRC1752, CEVUS06, ESVUS11

My suggestion is to delete the resources that are not working correctly and download them fresh. You might want to check the c://My Paratext 8 Projects/_Resources folder to make sure that the associated .pz8 files have been removed after you delete the resources.

I tried that. I also uninstalled PT8, removed registry entries, and Program Files folder.
No change

Problem with PT8 resources and recurrring update prompt
One of our translators says that when he starts Paratext 8, it does not stop to prompt him to update, although he is ... , but most likely without using his license key. Any ideas?

Cannot update resources
I'm pretty sure I have updated resources before, but now, when I try to update a resource, it tells me You cannot download ... to what is going wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks.

Using Locally available resources in PT8
I recall it mentioned somewhere in the setup that locally available resources can be installed in pt8. I'm not seeing ... resource as a new project. Can this be done? Clear7419

Startup failure after Windows update
This week Windows has sent two updates. On Tuesday when I started PT8, only one window of four filled with ... that the PT8 problem and the Windows updates are coincidental.
