Startup failure after Windows update

Question

This week Windows has sent two updates. On Tuesday when I started PT8, only one window of four filled with content. The features were unresponsive and the program slowed down dramatically. I tried to send an error message, but PT bogged down and the fields would not take input sufficiently. For some reason PT opened properly Tue afternoon, but two days later, another update and PT is mostly disabled. It may be that the PT8 problem and the Windows updates are coincidental.
