İs there any program for Linux that can extract verses? For example typing john3:3 would extract the verse for copy pasting or a php page etc? Would be neat to use something like that to have bloom automatically extract verses and make books by reading the paratext files…

Since you are trying to extract verses from a computer with Paratext installed, you should be aware that the Bible Modules capability is designed to just such extraction. You can set it up there, and then send those files to Bloom. See instructions here: https://lingtran.net/Bible+Modules

I don’t know of a way to do verses but one can extract a specified chapter to a file.

for usage run:

/usr/bin/paratext8 --rdwrtp8

For example:

/usr/bin/paratext8 --rdwrtp8 -r MP1 JHN 3 ~/johnchapter3.txt
