Some Paratext installation files may be removed on Windows 10 upgrade

I’ve seen a couple of Paratext error reports where Paratext was running fine previously and suddenly started getting errors when it was starting. At least one user said that this occurred after upgrading to Windows 10.

At this point, we don’t know why the Paratext files are getting deleted, but wanted to send out a notice so supporters will be aware of this possible problem.

The only thing I know to do would be to re-install Paratext to fix the problem.

On the other hand, others of us have upgraded to Windows 10 and have not seen any problem with Paratext. So Windows 10 is not causing problems for every Paratext user.

Windows 10 may require alternative rendering engine
A user complained that after his upgrade to Windows 10, the rendering of some characters in Paratext 7.4 did not look ... 7.5, if the alternative rendering engine is turned off.

Does anybody have any experience with Paratext 8 on multiple Windows user accounts on the same Windows 10 machine? Are there ... you need to be aware of with that kind of setup?

Download update once for a whole team (share on local network/LAN, like Windows 10)
Looking for comment first, before submitting a Feature Request How hard would it be to implement in PT a feature like ... over the network with all the other PCs on the LAN.

A co-worker writes: I am experiencing problems with Paratext 7.5 since I updated to Win 10 Creators update ... FLEx users are encountering problems on Creators Update. Thanks.
