How do I add drop-cap to whatever the first chapter is?

I find that PDFs generated by PTXprint omit the drop-cap for the very first chapter. For example, if I were to generate a PDF for Luke 1-3, only Luke 2 & 3 have drop-caps at the beginning of the chapter. Similarly, if I were to generate a PDF for Luke 3-5, only Luke 4 & 5 have drop-caps in the chapters. This is even more confusing if I were to generate only Luke 4, for example, and not having any drop caps at all and therefore have no way of knowing what chapter I'm currently reading. So how can I add drop-caps to all chapters that I try to generate?

This certainly isn't normal behaviour. E.g. if I download the BSB, select JHN 1-2, then I get this: 

And I can't find any setting that might avoid just the 1st chapter number getting printed.
Thus I wonder... are you finding this in a normal print-out, or is this a module? Things are sometimes different when you are printing a module.
Alternatively, perhaps you have a changes file which is deleting something from the header until the first verse? That might give you your behaviour. You can test for that by disabling changes.txt under the advanced tab.

It's not "just the 1st chapter number getting printed". It's the opposite: all chapter numbers are getting printed except the 1st. But on further inspection, I see that it was my mistake.

For context, I'm trying to print straight from a Paratext project, so not a module. I discovered that if I try to print whole chapters, the drop caps chapter number would appear on the beginning of every chapter as expected. But what I was trying to print is: LUK 2:1-40, LUK 3-6, LUK 11.

Naturally, the drop caps appear just fine on chapters 3-6 & 11, but not for chapter 2, because it's not the whole chapter that I was trying to print. This is where I get the impression that I wrote about in my question.

What finally working for me was to turn on the "Hide Empty Verses" option in the settings, and then just try to print LUK 2-6, LUK 11. And then the drop caps appear on every chapter.
