Hi Forum, I am running into problems on the registration website [https://registry.paratext.org]. I’m trying to edit some of the Publishing fields and also wanting to change the visibility of one of our projects from <Test or Training> to <Standard>. However, the site keeps freezing up on me and changes do not take effect. I already tried different browsers, restarted my PC and ran a virus check, but still no luck. Any suggestions how to fix this would be greatly appreciated

Martin,

I'm not seeing the problem with changing the visibility. I know in the past I've had issues where if I made a change to a field (for example a member), the change would not appear until I had refreshed the screen.

Thanks for the reply, Phil. This problem only occurs with this one project (PDT_DJ). I’m linking some screen shots here, so you can see what’s going on.

  • On the registration tab nothing comes up. The page just sits there forever with the spinning dots.
  • And on the Basic tab, when I change the visibility from <Test or Training> to <Standard>, then as soon as I click <Save Changes>, the mouse curser turns to this red “access denied” symbol and nothing happens from there on.
  • The reason I am trying to change these settings is because we were trying to create a DBL text bundle but as you can see, we always get an error message, so I thought that it may have something to do with the registration settings. … But maybe I’m wrong.

If you could help us to solve this problem that would be great, thnx

Martin,

Clearly it looks like something is corrupted with the registration. One option would be to use the Help > Give Feedback in Paratext and request assistance from the support team there. This is where I'd start.

Another option would be to delete the project from the registry and other users and then re-register the project and share with the other users again. You would need to ask the other users to remove the project and then receive it again.
Ok, I'll try to fix it first by deleting and re-registering. If that won't solve the issue, I'll open a support ticket. Thanks
