I have a test project that I’ve been using to test various Paratext 8 features. A while ago I took a look at the Project Plan, copied a base plan into a current plan, made some modifications and then marked some tasks as having been accomplished.

Now I see that I cannot ‘copy plan’ from a Base Plan into the Current Plan. Is that because we have marked some things as having been accomplished in the current plan?

If a person is ‘playing around’ in the Project Plan area, but then we want to implement a group (this is coming from an SIL Context) specific plan, how do we go about changing someone from their 'current plan, which would just be a test plan, over to our group ‘base plan’?

To change the plan you can do the following:

  1. Go to Project > Project Plan
  2. Click on Manage Plans
  3. Delete all of the existing stages so that the “Current Plan” is blank
  4. Select the new plan you want to use and “Copy Plan” to the Current Plan
  5. Click OK to return to the main window of plans and make any adjustments as needed.

NOTE: if you have marked progress you will be warned that progress will be lost if you delete the stages. Only do this if you are sure you want to switch the plan.
