I am doing basic checks. I have my quotation rules set and I'm not receiving any errors. Similar to most English Bibles, we are not closing the quotation and continuing it with next paragraph. All good here. However, am I right in understanding that this will not impact the unmatched pair inventory and rules? It would make sense that there will be open quotes that are unmatched in the long teachings of the gospels and Acts. I would have thought that the quotation tool would catch the issues related to unmatched punctuation pairs and thus quotations not be included in the unmatched punctuation pair search. Am I missing something? I am getting many " and ' unmatched pairs. I can just make them a valid unmatched punctuation in the inventory, but I'm wondering if that would be wise.

Generally speaking  you should only put punctuation in the Unmatched Pairs (options) that match. So you would normally have (/) [/] {/} ¿/? ¡/!  or any other pairs of punctuation that should match.  Ocasionally I might include ‘/’, but only if I'm trying to find a particular issue. It is better to use the quotation check to find quotation problems and not include these in the unmatched pairs. Check the options settings!

Thank you for your help Phil! I'm not sure how those other punctuations got in there. Thanks again for your help.
