When printing a draft text, it places the start of each new chapter on a different page. So instead of having the end of chapter 7 and the beginning of chapter 8 on the same page, it will start chapter 8 on a separate page. Is there a way to print so that the text flows from chapter to chapter without the disruption of placing a new chapter on a new page?

Yes, there are known issues with the Export to PDF in Paratext. We recommend using PTXPrint. This is a tool allows you to print PDFs out of Paratext. I would second the recommendation to use PTXprint.
This issue with Export to PDF in PT came up at a recent PTXprint workshop, and the solution was found. I don’t remember what the solution was (it requires editing a text file in the PT installation directory), but if you ask on PTXprint - SIL Scripture Software Community someone can likely tell you.
