The resource SBCL - Sahaj Bhasa Common Language, published by Bangladesh Bible Society - is present in PT7 but not in PT9.1. I support a team who needs to upgrade/transition to PT9.1 but the loss of this resource is significant.

Does anyone know how to get this resource in PT9.1?

I don’t see that one listed in the official list of PT7 resources. Was it available from the old PT7 website or did you get it from elsewhere?

EDIT: I also don’t see it in DBL (although I do see others published by the Bangladesh Bible Society). For it to be included in Paratext, it must be first be put into DBL.

Maybe I’m missing something?

I’m new to this team and to PT really. I received this information from them and their consultant.
Thank you for the link to the PT7 list of resources and to the DBL.
I will take your good questions to the team to find out where they obtained this resource.
Are you aware of any means to retain such a resource (installed in PT7) as one transitions to PT9.1? Or, as you say, can one only use resources from the DBL?
Thank you for your patience with my ignorance.

We learned that the resource does exist in the DBL as SBCL - Standard Bangla Common Language:

However, in PT9.1 I do not see this as an available resource. Does it depend on my Organization’s permissions?

According to the list of PT7 resources that I linked above, it’s only available for certain organizations (it’s listed as BCLVU in Paratext). I’m not sure how to tell which organizations that applies to, though.

From what I understand, the owner of the resource has to enable it to be available to different organizations via the DBL and then you could download it within Paratext. I emailed the contact with Bible Societies listed for BCLVU to see if they can provide more info.

Thank you, james_post, for the and for writing the contact (Jarred Williams I presume?). I’m also trying to pursue leads with the BS of Bangladesh.

Yes, that is correct. Thank you for pursuing the leads with the Bible Society of Bangladesh as well.
