I just installed PT9 and find that it uses significantly more resources than PT8… Not only when it is running, but even when it is not; a Paratext.exe process remains running in the background when PT9 is closed (0.75 GB on my machine!). When PT9 is re-opened, I now have two Paratext.exe process: the one that remained running when PT9 was closed, and another using 0.55 GB. That’s 1.3 GB total… By way of comparison, PT8 uses 0.37 GB when running, and the process ends when it is closed. Is this normal behaviour for PT9? I have 16 GB of RAM, but the way it uses resources seems excessive. Thanks for any advice.

PT9 was up to 1.5 GB today; my machine was sluggish and my fan was running way more than usual (with my SSD, it hardly ran before…). Going back to PT8 for now; no real benefits with PT9 and it’s a definite memory beast…
