I am trying to create a RubyGlosses.xml file for our Japanese project. The text is already marked using the \rb XXX|XXX \rb* codes according to USFM 3.0.

Does anyone have a snippet or sample file I can use to see what the .xml file structure is?

I’m hoping that I can extract what is already in the text to create the gloss file.

Any help on this or other tips would be appreciated.

Are you using Paratext 9? This was released on Friday and Ruby support is in it - not in Paratext 8.

Check to see that USFM 3 is chosen on the Advanced tab of project properties.

If it is, then right-clicking in your project text should show a context menu with the option to switch to the Ruby View.

If this doesn’t work, send a problem report with your test project being the active project.
