PT8 S/R is failing continuously

Question

I have a system on PT 8, whose S/R is failing.
Send/Receive: Connection to server lost. Retrying…

Project name: BGW
-Internet is working perfectly fine.
-Antivirus disabled
-Uninstalled and reinstalled PT
-Sync on USB works fine
-Firewall disabled as well

Can you please help?

Can you go to this address in your web browser?

If you get a popup asking for a user name and password, the connection is working.
If the browser says the page does not exist or the server is not responding then something is wrong with your connection.

Do you have the program Covenant Eyes installed? That has been known to block Paratext send/receive to the Internet.

If the proxy setting RSquared found is from malware, it may have gotten reinstated. Have you run an antivirus and anti-malware scan?

I had gone to the URL mentioned before and it worked well.
I can probably try running an anti-virus scan. I’ll keep you posted.

That worked! QuickHeal was installed and we had disabled all the security settings in the tool and then S/R was fine. Thanks a ton!
