On my new Windows 10 Pro laptop, updating PT 7.6 is in a continuous loop: it doesn’t do the update when I restart PT, and then it re-downloads the update and prompts me again to update.

After you close Paratext go to C:\Users{your
user}\AppData\Local\Paratext76\ParatextUpdate
You should see the update in that folder.
Double click the update to run it manually.
There was a problem with an early update that caused this loop.
