Do Observers on a PT7 project need to have a PT8 registration before migration?

If so (and they cannot register yet), can we just remove them from the project before migration? Then can we add them in PT8 after they have registered?

Thanks,

No, they don’t need to have a PT8 registration. PT7 users will be kept as “placeholders” on the PT8 project until the moment they are registered.

There are many projects in the Registry that have some members listed that are not yet registered for PT8. We do of course recommend that they do so at some point.
