Can I run PT7.6 beta on a Chromebook with Linux installed? If so, does it matter much which flavor of Linux it is?

What I’ve read about installing Linux on Chromebooks suggests that not all Chromebooks would be equally capable. Articles say that ARM processor Chromebooks cannot run all Linux apps, Intel processors do better.

I don’t know about installing Linux on a ChromeBook, but you want to be using Ubuntu 16.04/Xenial or a Linux based off that, like Wasta

My reason for asking this was to be able to use Paratext on the small Chromebook that I’ll take on a 1-month visit to the US. I’ve now discovered Chrome Remote Desktop and so will just leave my main computer on and on the network, and the Chromebook can access it anywhere that I have Internet.
