The lectionary has selections that could benefit from 'introductory' lines. For example, "Moses said," before Deu. 4:1-9. What's the best way to include things 'in line,' that is, inside the verse number of the segment extracted by the module with \ref DEU 4:1-9. I could easily add it to the module with {\p Moses said,} but it would come before {1 "Now, Israel, listen..."}. Instead, I would like: {1 Moses said, "Now, Israel, listen..."}. Suggestions welcome. Thanks, Paul

You can use the \rep marker (see help in Paratext on Modules). For example, you would add the line:
\rep "Now, Israel, listen=>Moses said, "Now, Israel, listen

The \rep is applied to the previous \ref.

Thanks for the help, Phil. Thanks, too, for the tip about where to place it!

I think if you want your new text to come after the verse number, your main option is probably to use the replacement command:

\rep "Now, Israel=>Moses said, "Now, Israel

I don't like the syntax, since there's no clear delineation between the find and the replace parts other than =>, but that's the way it is.
