How to resolve the unresolvable note thread

Question

I have a note thread that can't be resolved. It's been hanging around for close to three years now so I'm tired of seeing it. Any idea what could cause a thread not to resolve when I click on "Resolve"? I'm an admin on this project. The initial author of the thread is no longer part of the team.

Does nothing happen when you click Resolve, or does it act like it worked and then you come back and the note is still unresolved?

I can't see any reason that it would be doing nothing. Probably best to give feedback (Help > Give feedback) so that we can take a closer look at your specific project data.
