We have scheduled a Paratext 8 Workshop to be held at JAARS in Waxhaw, NC. The dates are May 1-12, 2017 and the times are 8:15am to 4:45pm each day.

If you are interested in attending the workshop in person you can get more information and register by completing this form. (Please note that the deadline for registering for the course is April 19th.)

If you have any questions please ask.

I have put copies of the PT8 workshop videos in a Google Docs folder so that they are easier to download:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B72zij1f_SorYXMyRTdtXzJ0TmM

This is “raw” video and may require you to fast forward during pauses.

The videos can also be seen on YouTube at:

The basic information regarding the workshop is found below. If you have questions about these videos you can contact anon848905 at [Email Removed]

I’m interested in recorded sessions. I can’t access the form (presumably because I don’t have an sil.org address).

Sorry - I hadn’t unchecked the option to limit to the organization. Please
try it now.

Thank you anon848905 for this opportunity.

Could you please give us the time frame [8:15-4:15] set for the training in GMT time? I’d like to follow-up live.

Blessings.

The times for the workshop will be UTC/GMT -4 (this is the time for New
York CIty). We will start at 8:15am and end at 4:45pm with breaks during
the day. Basically there will be four sessions. I realize that for some
around the world this will not be doable, but the workshop will be recorded
and folks can listen at another time.

Blessings,

Are there any plans to make these videos available in edited form, making them a little bit easier to use in training situations elsewhere?

anon716631,

There is a Paratext 8 course being prepared with training videos and that might be more useful in other training situations.

Having said that - I do have it on my schedule to try and find time to work through the editing process to clean up the videos a little. I’d be happy to have someone edit the files, but I’m not sure how useful this would be.

I’ve noticed that the Paratext 8 Workshop - May 9 - Session 2b - Biblical Terms video is not available on Google Drive. Could you post that there as well?

Thanks!

Thanks! What are all the videos prefixed “original1” owned by Jeff Shrum in the same folder, by the way? They seem to be duplicates of your videos.

I’m not sure on that - I’m guessing that Jeff must have made copies.
