If you go to https://paratext.org/registration there is information about registering as an independent translator. Scroll down on the page to find that section.

Thank you very much, Phil. I see now that we should have explored those pages before posting here, but I appreciate your directing us right to the needed info. I expect my MTT friend will follow through on this. He seems very keen to do so.
