When I look at received emails I see three with the subject:

[Paratext Supporter Site] [Questions] Is it possible to post a new question by email?

The first is Nathan's: "I really wonder if ... try to do it!"

  The second is Paul's response.

The third is my "Thank you".</p>

When I look at support.paratext.org I see three posts by the same three people. However, the first post, written by Nathan, contains the following text, but NOT his "I really wonder..." sentence. The instructions below are what we who live in the dark ages of slow internet need to know, but I never received them from Nathan by email.

Did anyone else receive these instructions (maybe we had a power blip that sent my copy into cyberspace)?

To post a new question by email

  1. Go to the email account that you used to sign up for support.paratext.org with

  2. Send an email to "[Email Removed]"

  3. Subject line should be the title of the topic.

  4. Body of email should be the contents of the question. It must be at least 20 characters long.

No, I didn’t see it (and am wondering if my own email is getting through).
Nathan and now KimB’s emails are the first that have come through to my
mailbox with an actual meaningful message in them. I’ve gotten lots that
just tell me that I should go to the internet. (Not going to happen.)

Me neither… My guess is that Nathan edited his first post using the
PT Supporter site, because it has changed since the initial posting
(perhaps due to my question about the address to use). If that’s the
case, then subsequent edits to existing posts are /not/ sent via
e-mail.

Again, this is just a guess. For what it’s worth,

Paul

Actually, I just saw a ‘PM’ from Nathan that said he did update the
topic on the site. Another guess, but I don’t think it was
automatically generated.

Paul

I just noticed that my posts show up with different user names depending on whether I post by email or via the website. Going to my account preferences on the website, I see the user name used when posting via the website, but it is not possible to change it there. Is it possible to change your user name anywhere else?

The directions about how to post via email also did not come through for me.
